Pake Muus are a type of traditional Polynesian dress heavily influenced by traditional Chinese dresses. This is my take on a pake muu with a dark, vampy twist.
It is made from black, non stretch, cotton with white spiderwebs. A keen eye will spot little needles and threads among the spiderwebs, as if they have been sewn!
The sleeves take a deviation from the vintage pattern I used for this dress, their scalloped edges being a nod to spiders webs. The sleeves and side splits of the dress are lined with white satin and the neck and side splits are finished with white frog closures. The dress has a side zip and goes on over your head.
